INTER-VARSITY DEBATING COMPETITION

Every year, for the past 7 years, Cherwell College Oxford opens its doors to The Oxford Union to run their Inter-Varsity Debating Championship in November and the National Debating Competition in March each year.

Cherwell College students volunteer to support the logistics of those two events.

In return, as a true gesture of meritocracy, Oxford University undergraduates run a series of debate workshops for young Cherwellians who are at pre-university stages of their education.

Both institutions agree to continue supporting this noble cause, providing a wonderful outreach to many young students around the world.

This year the Inter-Varsity Championship will be hosted on Saturday & Sunday (12th-13th of November) at the College’s Admin & Study Centre – St George’s Mansion.
