PIANO MARATHON – ANTHONII BARYSHEVSKYI
Anthonii Baryshevskyi belongs to a generation of young Ukrainian pianists who gained international recognition at the world’s most prestigious competitions (in particular, Premio Internazionale Pianistico A. Scriabin, Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, International Piano Competition Prize “Jaén”, and ISAM Piano Competition).
His unique talent is clearly visible through his vivid individual thinking, which allows the performer to express himself in the music of different eras and stylistic trends.
The performer always includes works by contemporary Ukrainian composers in his programmes, revealing the obscure meanings of the well-known compositions, and impressing with premiere performances. In addition to works by Victoriya Polyova (Victoria Poleva), the Festival programme includes compositions by Svyatoslav Lunyov and Maksym Shalygin.

The musician to perform:
Antonii Baryshevskyi is a prominent Ukrainian pianist, First Prize Winner in some of the most prestigious international piano competitions – such as Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, “Premio Jaen”, winner of F. Busoni International Piano Competition. He is a solo artist of the National Philharmonie of Ukraine and gives master classes in Ukraine and abroad, a regular member of the International Summer Academy of Music in Ochsenhausen (Germany). He graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine and Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris.
He has been invited as an honourary guest to renowned festivals such as Progetto Martha Argerich, Klavier Ruhr festival, Busoni Festival, projects by Musica Insieme Fondazione, and others. Antonii performed in the venues of Wigmore Hall in London, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Berliner Philharmonie, Kolner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Prize winner at numerous international competitions.
“A young Ukrainian piano genius”, as he is described by the music scene and appreciative public, Anthonii is the laureate of more than thirty international competitions, including Premio Internazionale Pianistico A. Scriabin in Italy, Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Israel, International Piano Competition Prize “Jaén” in Spain and ISAM Piano Competition in Germany.
