The Cherwell Choir
The Cherwell Choir united Ukrainian children who found themselves in Britain because of war. Under the guidance of a professional teacher, Yevhenya Dyachenko, who is also a refugee from Ukraine, the young singers perform songs by contemporary Ukrainian pop stars. Some of the compositions – Stefania, Mriya – are already recognisable around the world. For this project, the choir did not need to develop a special repertoire, as almost all contemporary music by Ukrainian bands and performers in recent years is full of pain and hope.
Yevhenya Dyachenko is a singer and a singing teacher with more than 10 years of experience. She has been singing since childhood and is passionate about everything related to singing.
Yevhenya uses different types of vocal techniques in her teaching.
She works with children and adults and professional famous singers.
The Choir is developing with the support of Cherwell College, it is also joined by participants from other countries
